Today everyone creates their own blog to make an online career. Yes, blogging can be a good option for making money online.
But because of few mistakes at the beginning not everyone getting the expected result.
In this post today I am going to share some of the most crucial blogging mistakes that every newbie blogger make.
10 Common Blogging Mistakes That every Beginners Make
#1. Do Not Invest in Hosting:
If you are a serious blogger and want to make money from it then you should invest some bucks at the beginning.
One of the most neglected parts where many newbie bloggers don’t want to invest is web hosting. Hosting is very important this is the place where your every file and hard work were stored online.
So if you don’t have any hosting service then you are at the risk of losing your blog anytime.
Everyone think that web hosting packages are very costly. But this is not the true. Hosting packages are very inexpensive today it is around 3-5$ per month which is less than a movie ticket. Right?
There are many quality web hosting services available today but if you are WordPress user then I will recommend you to go with Bluehost. Because it is very responsive and also officially recommended by WordPress.
#2. Do Not Give Priority to Creating an Email List:
Not starting your email list right away is one of the biggest mistakes bloggers make.
A lot of people want to wait until they have a certain amount of visitors to put an email list signup form on their website. That is a huge mistake because a lot of people will never come back to your website after the first visit.
Just a known fact somewhere between sixty to ninety percent of the people will not come to visit your site and forget about you once they leave .
Know just how the internet works as a crowded space and other people may find your content through search engines or because of somebody share on Facebook or Twitter. It is very very hard for them to remember you if you don’t give them a way to stay in touch.
So with an email list, you will be able to reach this customer again and be able to invite them to your blog. Your retention rate becomes much better if you have an email list subscription.

#3. Writing on Too Many Topics:
Another crucial blogging mistakes that people make are trying to talk about too many topics at the same place. People start a blog and maybe they want to write about insurance for example and they do it. They’re really doing great then they decide to write on some technology then write about traveling.
This strategy will definitely hurt your blog.
The readers get annoyed with that and also it`s harder for the search engines to give you credit or trust if you talk about too many different topics.
The best thing you can do is focus on one topic and try to share your best research with your readers.
#4. Try to Write Too Many Useless Blog Posts:
Next thing I want to talk about is the actual frequency in which people choose to blog.
Some of the newbie bloggers think that they have to publish at least a post daily.
This is not true.
One or two well-written blog post per week will be enough for a new blog.
You should take the time that you invest in writing several blog posts daily and using that time to write one singular blog post that was a lot more detailed and in-depth. It can actually help the results massively. People didn’t want to see a lot of blog posts from us, they just wanted to read a few high quality helpful detailed blog posts.
Now once you cut your blog posting schedule, you can actually create more engaging and useful content. Remember that quantity is not the big demand what actually matter is quality.
So forget about writing too many useless articles daily.
But whatever schedule you select to try to strict on that. Because consistency is also crucial to make a blog successful.
#5. Not Including an About and Contact Page:
Two most important pages for your blog.
This is highly recommended that before writing any article on your blog you should create an about and contact page first.
A contact us page is from where your readers and customers can easily contact you. If you are a WordPress user then you can create a contact us page with the help of contact form 7 plugin.
With contact page, you should also create an about us page. On this page, you should write to you and your blog.
Write io detail who you are why you are running this blog. Etc..
#6. Starting Without any Proper Plan:
Planning is the key to success. If you dot have any proper plan in your life then everything that you want to achieve will go away from you.
In the field of blogging, you also need some serious planning from the beginning.
First of all, you should treat your blog as a business. You need a professional mindset to achieve success in blogging. Because there is so much competition in this field today.
So whenever you start to make a short term goal for 3-5 months. Make a list that you want to achieve and give your 100%.
Another thing you need to keep in mind always that hard work pays but in today’s world smart work pays more.
#7. Writing Like an Exam Paper:
For any blog it`s articles are the most important thing. Written content is the backbone of a blog. Every day over 2 million blog post was published on the internet. That’s why writing a quality blog post is so crucial today.
At the beginning, every blogger tries to write their article with his/her own writing style like what they did till now on the exam paper. They forget that they are writing for others, not for them. That’s why they don’t get enough visitors to read their blog.
To write an engaging article you should always write in conversation mood. Think that you are talking to someone.
That’s why I always recommend to all the newbie bloggers write consistently and read more. This is the only way you can improve your writing.
#8. Try to Make Every Post More Than Perfect:
Nothing is perfect in this world.
Believe it or not?
No one is perfect neither their work. There is always a gap of improvement. So why are you trying too much to make every post perfect?
In the early days of a blogger, he tries to make every article more than perfect. Believe me, it costs too many hours. It happens with me. At the beginning of my career, I spend too many hours to create every single blog post. It causes me very low publishing frequency.
So what should you do?
Try to make every post closer to perfect. After that whenever you find something important just update your post with that.
#9. Do Not edit After Writing:
Most bloggers make this mistake. They forget to edit their blog post after writing. They hit the publish button as soon as they complete the article.
This is not the perfect way to do so.
You cannot write error free articles with a single attempt. So give some time to edit your blog post. This will also help you to make correction of all the grammar and spelling mistakes. This way you can improve your article every time.
Don’t think it is a waste of time.
#10. Thinking About Quick Success:
Last but not the list thinking about quick overnight success is one of the top blogging mistakes that every beginner did.
Blogging is a long-term course. You have to keep patience and work consistently. If someone would tell you that you can make money in a single night with your blog then believe me he is lying with you.
There is no simple formula for getting quick success. there is also no shortcut ways to make quick money through blogging.
You have to be cool and calm during the early days. some are making money with the 2-3 months old blog and others were not able to make a single penny even after a year.
Try to learn the new thing every day and keep your hope alive.
Now these are the mistakes that I make in my early days and possibility is that you also make few of them.
These are the common things. So don’t think these mistakes will spoil your blogging career.
Mistakes are also important to learn things. But don’t repeat them again and again.
I made this post just to create awareness to all the newbie bloggers who just started their blogging journey. Try to remember these 10 blogging mistakes and avoid as much as possible.
Never think about quitting. Because quitting is not an option.
